Inside Stellantis Pro One: The Global Commercial Fleet Offensive Lands in North America
The North American commercial fleet landscape just experienced a massive structural shift. At its recent Fleet Preview event at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan, Stellantis officially launched Stellantis Pro One in North America.
Moving away from its former branding as Stellantis Fleet and Business Solutions, the company is unifying its commercial vehicle operations under a single, cohesive global business unit. Already holding the number-one market share in Europe, Stellantis Pro One is aggressively targeting the North American market, where it currently ranks third, with an onslaught of new products, connected services, and uptime guarantees.
For fleet managers and work truck operators relying on brands like Ram and FIAT, this isn’t just a simple name change. It represents a fundamental shift in how the OEM plans to support your bottom line.
What is Stellantis Pro One?
Stellantis Pro One is an all-encompassing, 360-degree commercial ecosystem. It integrates five core brands available to North American buyers, Ram, FIAT, Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler—into a unified platform.
The strategy is simple: move beyond merely selling hardware (vans and trucks) and instead provide an integrated solution that covers vehicles, data insights, seamless upfitting, and maximum vehicle uptime. The initiative is already seeing explosive momentum, backed by a 30% increase in U.S. fleet sales in the first quarter of this year compared to last year.
“In North America, we are not only implementing new practices but already seeing results,” Stellantis noted during the launch, signaling that their commercial offensive is hitting the ground running.
The Tech Ecosystem: Pro One NEXT & CustomFit
At the heart of the Pro One launch is a heavy investment in digital infrastructure designed to reduce a fleet’s Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The digital ecosystem revolves around three core pillars:
1. Pro One NEXT (Uptime Command Center)
Currently in pilot testing, this platform connects dealers, parts networks, and fleet managers through a centralized command tower. By leveraging Mopar resources, Pro One NEXT uses predictive maintenance data to identify vehicle issues before they cause a breakdown. The ultimate goal? Striving toward 100% vehicle uptime.
2. Pro One Connect Fleet
Driven by embedded telematics data, this platform gives operators real-time visibility into driving patterns, fuel consumption, and battery health. It supports advanced over-the-air (OTA) updates and features AI-based interaction between the driver and the vehicle to streamline daily routes and safety compliance.
3. Stellantis CustomFit Program
Upfitting is traditionally one of the most stressful bottlenecks in fleet procurement. The CustomFit program aims to eliminate the guessing game by allowing fleet managers to digitally track their vehicles’ real-time progress through the factory and certified third-party upfitting pipelines.
The Product Pipeline: 9 New Models Coming to North America
To support this business infrastructure, Stellantis is launching a comprehensive product offensive. Of the 11 new commercial models Stellantis plans to introduce globally by 2030, nine are bound for the North American market.

• Multi-energy (BEV, Hybrid, ICE) • Introducing first REEV • All-New 2027 Ram
• Large & Mid-size platforms (Range-Extended EV) ProMaster City
Next-Generation Van Platforms
Stellantis is rolling out two new multi-energy van platforms (Mid-size and Large) built on the advanced STLA Brain software architecture. These vans will be uniquely flexible, offering internal combustion (ICE), hybrid, and battery-electric (BEV) powertrains to give fleets the freedom to transition to electrification at their own pace. This includes the highly anticipated return of a midsize work van option: the all-new 2027 Ram ProMaster City, slated to arrive in early 2027 in both cargo and passenger configurations.
Reimagining the Ram Pickup Lineup
The full-size Ram pickup portfolio—including light-duty, heavy-duty, and chassis-cab variants—is undergoing a complete renewal. Most notably, the lineup will introduce the brand’s first Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) powertrain. This technology offers the emissions-free benefit of an electric drive while utilizing an onboard generator to eliminate range anxiety during heavy towing operations.
Additionally, Stellantis confirmed they are developing an all-new mid-size Ram pickup specifically tailored to the North American work truck market, filling a crucial gap for utilities, municipalities, and service fleets that require capability without the footprint of a full-size truck.
The Bottom Line for Fleet Managers
The launch of Stellantis Pro One signals that the commercial vehicle wars are no longer just about who can build the toughest frame or the highest payload capability. The modern fleet requires a partner that seamlessly links the vehicle, the upfitter, the driver, and the service bay together.
By unifying under the Pro One banner, Stellantis is positioning itself as a turnkey business partner capable of matching competitors like Ford Pro and GM Envolve stride for stride. For vocational fleets looking to optimize efficiency, lower downtime, and strategically map out their roadmap toward electrification, the Pro One ecosystem represents a powerful new ally in the North American market.
