Pep Boys Updates Fleet Towing and Roadside Assistance Program

Last Updated: March 17, 2026By

Pep Boys is positioning its fleet towing and roadside assistance offering as a practical option for commercial operators that need fast help without adding another membership program to manage. The company highlights 24/7 availability, coverage across the U.S. and Puerto Rico, and a focus on reducing vehicle and business downtime.

For fleet operators running light- and medium-duty vehicles, the offering is built around both towing and common roadside events. Through the Tow2Pep program, Pep Boys says fleet customers can access towing to a Pep Boys location, jump-starts, flat tire changes using the vehicle’s spare, fuel delivery, and lockout assistance. Service is also availabe by phone through a dedicated fleet line, giving managers and drivers a straightforward way to request service when breakdowns happen in the field.

The pricing structure is designed to be easy to understand for eligible vehicles. Pep Boys lists towing at $85 for the first 10 miles for light-duty vehicles up to 10,000 pounds and $199 for the first 10 miles for medium-duty vehicles up to 26,000 pounds, with additional mileage charges beyond that. It also promotes flat-rate roadside assistance pricing for tire service, jump-starts, fuel delivery, and lockout support on qualifying fleet vehicles.

For fleet leaders focused on uptime, the message is clear: roadside incidents do not have to derail the day. With around-the-clock access, broad coverage, and fleet-specific service options, Pep Boys is aiming to help commercial operators get trucks and vans moving again quickly
